We would like your help for the realization of
a hypertext project on tavern art.
Tavern art is the one you can see on walls of cheap
pizza-restaurants or little village barber shops. It consists
in pictures (usually oil-painting) buyable at furniture-sellers,
and low-price stores. Their price varies according to dimension,
type of frame, manual or printed making. Tavern art has all the
intrinsic characteristies of any aesthetical evaluation (art
criticism) of artistic goods. Trade of tavern art is a paradigm of
the art market, of its capabilty in linking absolutism of aesthetic
values and economic circulation of goods. The hypertext preparation
needs writings, images and slogans concerning the various aspects
of the subject. Slogans in particular. A slogan resumes, simplifies and
ravishes the complexity of analyses and ideologies. A slogan is a
typical tavern critical elaboration. We have chosen the hypertextual
shape because it realizes -virtually at least- numerous possibilities
of non hierarchy and horizontal exchange among partecipants.
